The exceptional cross-country mobility of the small Mercedes-Benz transporter and van is achieved through the use of a tested and proven robust central transfer case that provides full-time 50/50 power allocation to the front and rear axles. If required great on-demand off-road low gear reduction and 100% mechanical lockout can be switched on. To further increase cross-country mobility the transfer case is equipped with 100 % mechanical lockout.

The necessary ground clearance is achieved through lifting of the standard front-axle carrier by means of custom engineered lifting components. Various modifications permit the acceptance of the newly developed front-axle transfer case featuring on-demand 100% mechanical lockout.

Of course, the rear-axle is also adaptable to the new challenges of off-road driving. It also features (optional) on-demand 100% mechanical lockout. The activation of all cross-country functions is possible through a custom designed digital control module. This facilitates the comfortable on and off switching of the special all-wheel drive functions with just a click of the switch in the cockpit.

The undercarriage is enforced at critical stress points for long-term durability and to meet the extreme demands of cross-country driving. All attachments are mounted on the vehicle without welding.
